Scene 01 - Social Story: Mark's visit to the dentist

I am going to visit the dentist soon. My mom, Marie, will come with me. The dentist is a place where people help my teeth stay strong and healthy.

Scene 02 - Social Story: Mark's visit to the dentist

When we arrive, we might sit in a comfy waiting room for a little while. Then, I will meet the friendly dentist. The dentist will look inside my mouth to count my teeth.

The dentist uses small tools to check my teeth, which is a normal part of the visit.

Scene 03 - Social Story: Mark's visit to the dentist

I will sit in a special chair that can move up and down. A bright light might shine so the dentist can see my teeth clearly. I might hear some new sounds from the small tools, and the dentist will be very gentle.

Sometimes, I might feel a little nervous or unsure when the dentist checks my teeth. When I feel like this, I can try to take a deep breath and listen carefully to what the dentist says. Staying calm helps the dentist do their job quickly and gently.

Soon, my visit will be over, and my teeth will feel clean and strong. I did a great job visiting the dentist for the first time. I can feel proud of myself for being brave.

Going to the dentist helps keep my teeth healthy and strong. I am brave and can do a great job. My mom will always be with me to help me feel safe.
